Brett Kissel continued his year of Canadian country music stardom picking up a leading five nominations for Canadian Country Music Awards (CCMAs), tying Dean Brody for nominations.

The nominations, released last week, have Kissel up for Male Artist of the Year, single of the year for Airwaves, Interactive Artist or Group of the Year, Record Producer of the Year and, perhaps most excitingly of all for the Flat Lake singer, the Fans’ Choice award.

It was the first time Kissel has been nominated in the Fans’ Choice category, and he posted it left him “absolutely speechless,” adding, “On behalf of my entire family, thank you for this incredible honour and this outstanding nomination!” Kissel urged his supporters and fans to visit ccmafanvote.dmds.com to vote for him. The CCMAs take place in London, Ont. on Sept. 11.
