TORONTO - The campaigning for Ontario's June 12 election got started this weekend with the party leaders holding a few events.
Liberal Premier Kathleen Wynne and Progressive Conservative leader Tim Hudak are both attending a Sikh celebration in Toronto and are separately speaking to reporters.
NDP leader Andrea Horwath has no scheduled campaign events today, but yesterday she launched a blistering attack against the governing Liberals ó accusing them of being out of touch with the lives of Ontarians.
Wynne also campaigned Saturday but her main target was Stephen Harper.
She took issue with the prime minister's criticism of her proposed Ontario pension plan, saying he should butt out if he's not prepared to work with her government.
Wynne called the election on Friday, but the official campaign period doesn't start until Wednesday.
