Remembering the good

To the Editor: There is a murder trial unfolding in the St. Paul Courthouse. A tragedy for two families, it has affected hundreds more. The events surrounding it have divided a town, families and even friends.

To the Editor:

There is a murder trial unfolding in the St. Paul Courthouse. A tragedy for two families, it has affected hundreds more.

The events surrounding it have divided a town, families and even friends.

Through all the testimony, facts and fiction, I ask people to remember Kevin. Kevin was flawed and battled demons, but he was also loved by many.

Kevin had a great smile and loved to laugh. He was loyal. He had a naďve and innocent heart.

He would drop anything to help a friend.

He loved animals, every kind and was gentle with the tiniest creature.

He loved to feed his friends. He always had a cooler full of kubasa in his truck, “in case anyone was hungry.”

He was a welder and one of the very best.

He was proud of his home and never missed the chance to mention that he lived in the “Perogy Capital of the World.”

He loved hard, played hard and lived hard.

Alcohol and ultimately drugs changed his behavior, but not the man. Please remember Kevin.
