Lakeland Lacrosse Association hosted the 2022 Provincial Lacrosse tournament in Cold Lake from July 8-10. The competition drew over two dozen U10 to U16 teams from across the province for a weekend of play. With plenty of back and forth play during the three day tournament, the Lakeland Heat U12 team took home the only medal winning bronze on July 10 against the Edmonton Blues, 5-4 alongside a handful of other regional teams.
The Lacross teams in the region not only included hosts the Lakeland Heat but also Bonnyville Heat, the North Central Wolves from Lac La Biche, Vermilion Roar, Fort Saskatchewan Rebels and the Lloydminster Brutes.
