Break and enter, rollover and fire among 192 calls for service in one week

In the week of Sept. 19 to 26, the St. Paul RCMP responded to 192 calls for service. Of those, 39 were traffic related, 29 were property crimes, 13 were persons crimes, six were related to mental health concerns, three were animal calls, 17 were disturbance calls, 12 were suspicious activity calls, seven were missing people calls, and 66 were other calls for service.

During this time, 67 criminal code, three controlled drug and substances act, and 12 provincial (tickets) charges were laid.

On Sept. 20, St. Paul RCMP received a complaint of a break and enter to Power Merchants in the Town of St. Paul. On Sept. 21, while investigating an unrelated manner, police located the stolen property.

An 18-year-old male of St. Paul was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property, and failure to comply with undertaking (X2). Taylor Renfrow was held for a judicial interim hearing where he was released on a recognizance with conditions to appear in St. Paul Provincial Court. The matter remains before the courts.

On Sept. 21, St. Paul RCMP responded to a chimney fire at a residence near Lower Mann Lake. All occupants of the residence were unharmed. The fire chief will be conducting an investigation.

On Sept. 23, St. Paul RCMP responded to a vehicle roll-over causing injury in the County of St. Paul. On scene police suspected alcohol to be a factor, and an impaired investigation was initiated. As a result of the investigation a youth from St. Paul was arrested and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, and operation of a motor vehicle over .08. The matter remains before the courts.
