RCMP confirmed last week that 22-year-old Christine Cardinal remains a missing person, and the investigation into where Cardinal is remains open.

St. Paul RCMP continues to investigate the missing person report from Saddle Lake, which was initially released in the fall of 2016. Christine Cardinal, a 22-year-old female, was last seen during the early morning hours of Oct. 13, 2016, at approximately 8:30 a.m., 1 km north of the Bison Auto gas station in Saddle Lake, wearing a grey sweater and black shorts with no shoes.

A search for Christine by Search and Rescue teams, Police Dog Services (PDS) and RCMP Air Services was completed, but Cardinal was not located.

RCMP re-released information in December, but as of last week, Cardinal had yet to be found.

“Christine has not been in contact with family members since she was reported missing and her whereabouts are still unknown,” said the December release. “There is a general concern for her well-being.”

Cardinal is described as: Aboriginal female; 5'9" tall; 123 lbs; long black hair; brown eyes; scar on right bicep and a cut on her top lip; tattoo of "ns" on her left hand.

Police are asking anyone who knows of Cardinal’s whereabouts or have been in contact with her,to please contact the St. Paul Detachment at (780) 645-8888 or call your local police detachment.
