The Centerfield Music Festival was another outstanding weekend filled country music and plenty of fun.

"It was great, it was phenomenal," said Keynon Ternovoy, co-founder/director of marketing and business development with Troubadour Event Management. He noted that the response form the crowd and performers was incredible, all around.

About 3,000 people attended Centerfield Music Festival each day, which once again took place at the Jaycee Ball Park, just off main street in St. Paul. Saturday saw a slightly bigger attendance than Friday night, but both days were well attended and close to last year's numbers.

"It was a great weekend of fun and music and that’s what we set out to do,” said Ternovoy. He noted that the weather was also ideal both days.

One thing that has stayed consistent between last year and this year is that the artists that come to town are “blown away” with the setting, says Ternovoy. The response from the crowd and the venue are just two of the things that performers are impressed by.

“This is a top notch, world class event," says Ternovoy. When it comes to the feedback he's heard from guests, he's heard a lot of positives, especially on the wide range of music that was presented at this year's event. People are "overwhelmingly positive."

Looking ahead, Ternovoy says the goal is to be back next year, and for "years and years to come.” He hopes to continue to build on the successes that have been achieved, "and continue to improve" to make this the "best little music festival" around.

Ternovoy offered plenty of thanks, to all those involved in the event.

“(Thank you to) everybody who attended the show, who gave us shout-outs on social media, all the sponsors, the Town of St. Paul, all of the organizations that helped out in the operations of the show. It takes many people to do an event of this magnitude,” said Ternovoy. "The involvement and positivity from everybody has been incredible.

And while he and fellow organizers were still busy wrapping up this year's event, work on next year's festival was soon to be underway.

"We’ll start putting plans in place for next year, tomorrow,” he said, with a laugh.

This year's Centerfield Music Festival included: Gord Bamford, Corb Lund, Madeline Merlo, James Barker Band, George Fox, Front Porch Roots Revue, KC Jones, The Rural Routes, and Second Son.
