RCMP execute search warrants, charge four men

On Sept. 25, the St. Paul RCMP with assistance from the Eastern Alberta Rural Crime Reduction Unit (EADRCRU) executed a search warrant for two locations in the Town of St. Paul believed to be housing stolen property, and arrested and charged four suspects.

Upon entry of the properties, RCMP located stolen items, some of which include: stolen identification, televisions, keys, riding gloves, riding mask, and copper wire. Other items located and seized include: drugs and drug paraphernalia, firearms and ammunition, and an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency.

Travis Bearhead (44) of Edmonton was charged with two counts of possession of stolen property. He was released from custody after a judicial hearing and will be appearing in St. Paul Provincial Court on Oct. 18.

Moses Cardinal (25) of Saddle Lake was charged with two counts of break and enter, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of stolen property. He was released from custody after a judicial hearing and will be appearing in St. Paul Provincial Court on Oct. 18.

Lawrence Desjarlais (39) of St. Paul was charged with one count of obstruction, fail to comply with probation, and fail to comply with condition of Recognizance. He was release from custody on a Promise to Appear and will be appearing in St. Paul Provincial Court on Oct. 18.

Austin Scott (20) of St. Paul was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of stolen property. He was released on a $500 no cash Recognizance and will be appearing in St. Paul Provincial Court on Oct. 18.

As this matter is now before the courts, no additional information will be provided.
