From Sept. 27 to Oct. 3, St. Paul RCMP responded to 170 calls for service. Of those, 28 were traffic related, 33 were property crimes, seven were persons crimes, seven were related to mental health concerns, four were animal calls, 11 were disturbance calls, 11 were suspicious activity calls, five were persons reported missing, and 64 were other calls for service.

During this time, 34 criminal code, four controlled drug and substances act, and 16 provincial (tickets) charges were laid.

On Sept. 30 police responded to a break and enter to a garage in the Town of St. Paul. Two suspects fled the scene of the crime on foot, but were located by members shortly after.

Upon locating the suspects, members also located property belonging to the owner of the garage that had been broken into. Both suspects were arrested and charges are pending.

On Oct. 3, St. Paul RCMP conducted a traffic stop in the Town of St. Paul for a passenger not wearing a seatbelt. After stopping the vehicle, police determined the driver of the vehicle was a suspended driver, and was breaching several conditions of a court order.

Police arrested and charged Kristopher Funk (37) of Elk Point, Alberta. Upon arrest, police located drugs and a weapon. Funk’s charges include: Possession of methamphetamine, breach of recognizance (X5), possession of a weapon, and drive while unauthorized. He was released after a judicial hearing with conditions and will be appearing on Oct. 25 in St. Paul Provincial Court.
