Two charged in armed robbery of liquor store

On Feb. 11, 2017 at 9:40 p.m., St. Paul RCMP responded to an armed robbery at a liquor store in St. Paul, according to an RCMP press release. Two males entered the store and attempted to steal liquor but left when confronted.

Two males entered the store and attempted to steal liquor but left when confronted. A short time later the same males came back into the store. One suspect pulled out a knife then both fled on foot after taking several bottles of liquor. No one was injured, stated the release.

Both suspects were located in the area by responding members and arrested without incident.

Travis Cory Mcgilvery, a 38-year-old from Saddle Lake was charged with robbery with a weapon, disguise with intent to commit an offence, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, obstruction of a police officer and failure to comply with a probation order.

Jody Lance Cardinal, a 43-year-old from Saddle Lake, was charged with robbery with a weapon.

Both men were remanded into custody and are scheduled to appear in St. Paul Provincial Court on Feb. 16, 2017, states the release.
